man flees police, crashes into multiple vehicles with child in back

Saint Johns County deputy has claimed a man fleeing from arrest and crashing into multiple motor vehicles with their daughter in the back seat at 262 West King Street.

At 7:15 p.m on March 24, deputies documented that the individual was remaining arrested for getting an active warrant for felony battery, and then fled the scene on foot to their vehicle.

Kasim Howard, age 40, dismissed multiple verbal commands to stop operating, then drove eastbound on West King Street, doing a U-flip when the deputy’s car or truck turned their lights on in front of them.

The passenger of the car or truck was their personal 17-yr-outdated little one, who was within ahead of Howardfled the scene.

As the car or truck attempted to escape, Howard commenced to travel recklessly northbound on Masters Travel and Evergreen, intentionally ramming into three vehicles to consider and block their route.

Just one car was a deputy officer’s automobile attempting to set up a possible roadblock, which was hit in the bumper as Howard tried to drive earlier, activating the emergency lights and sirens.

The driver then arrived to a prevent at 46 Nesmith Ave and was offered many verbal instructions to phase out of the automobile and get on the floor.

Howard ongoing to resist law enforcement and was place into a straight armbar takedown, then was secured in handcuffs.

No bystanders ended up wounded during the incident.
