WORCESTER — Town police seized a significant number of stolen filth bikes and off-street cars from a basement at Shamrock Avenue.

Cracking down on grime bicycle riders in just city limitations has been a yearslong venture for Worcester police.

Laqwon T. Brooks, 32, of Zenith Push was arrested Monday on fees of motor automobile larceny, use of a motor motor vehicle without having authority and working a motor automobile with a suspended license, according to courtroom documents. He is accused of stealing a bike, in accordance to the application for arrest grievance.

In accordance to Lt. Sean Murtha, a spokesperson for the Worcester law enforcement, Brooks’ arrest is connected to the seizure of filth bikes and off street cars in the basement of a Shamrock Avenue condominium property.

Brooks was arraigned in District Court docket Tuesday and he is scheduled for a pretrial listening to June 7. Bail was established at $500 cash and a $5,000 bond for Brooks Tuesday.
